Project Manager for Baseball

Job description

Join our project management team and develop great products for sports applications in a highly technical and dynamic environment.

As the business keeps growing, TrackMan is looking for an additional project manager to lead our projects all the way from idea generation to our customers. Being a Project Manager requires you to work closely together with several senior stakeholders in a very dynamic environment – driven by our passion for the product, the customer and sports.


You will work closely with our algorithm & computer vision development teams, software development teams, software testing team, hardware development, and production. You will be reporting to the SVP R&D, and you will provide progress to the steering committee and senior management on a monthly basis. The workplace for this position is at our HQ in Vedbæk, moving to Science Park DTU in Hørsholm in fall of 2023.


Your key responsibilities are to:

  • Make sure the baseball projects are governed according to the Trackman Project Execution Model including both waterfall and agile processes
  • Prepare steering group presentations together with the Product Owner according to the “Project Management Framework” to ensure progress and timely decision making
  • Lead the Project Group together with the Product Owner
  • Develop the project plan, based on estimates of scope, time and cost (resource) requirements
  • Define detailed product specifications and work breakdown together with the team. Translating the baseball customer requirements and business requirements into structured, technical system- and product requirements by working closely and collecting input from stakeholder in Sales, Operations, R&D and Business Development around the world (US, EMEA, APAC)
  • Being a “point-of-contact” for internal colleagues such as Sales, Operations, support, and production, for technical questions related to Baseball and drawing on the expertise of the teams when needed
  • Request allocation of resources through the management and escalate priorities accordingly
  • Handle team-building and internal communication with the project team.

Requirements

Our ideal candidate has worked with broad technical projects with elements of both hardware, embedded software, back-end, front-end, and cloud-based software and data environments. We expect you to bring an up-to-date project manager toolbox, but also to have the ability to use it with flexibility and pragmatism. 
  • You have a technical background and some years of project management experience from a technology company. You appreciate the importance of working as a team and have proven your ability to drive projects forward in a positive and collaborative manner
  • You have worked in agile development environments and know the agile toolbox. You are persistent and have proven your ability to deliver high-quality projects on time and on budget
  • You have an interest in sports and ideally a knowledge of baseball
