TrackMan is a fast-growing sports technology company that develops, manufactures, and sells 3D ball flight measurement systems for a variety of sports verticals. Originally developed for golf, TrackMan now enjoys a market leader position in several sports disciplines in measuring and delivering real-time sports motion data.

Our Baseball Analyst’s main objective is to provide timely and high-quality technical support to our large and growing portfolio of clients and products and offer judgment in applying engineering principles to resolve various products or customer-related issues.


Responsibilities include:

  • Proactively monitor all data produced by systems daily to ensure all are within spec and inform customers of issues, proposed resolutions, and timelines
  • Maintain SLA requirements and relationships with customers and deliver presentations and reports in re-occurring meetings
  • Conduct daily data quality investigations and root cause analysis to resolve issues quickly and proactively where possible
  • Review and refine reports, automated alerts/tickets to improve data quality processes alongside the Data Engineering team
  • Drive to closure issues created internally as well as those from customers by providing precise technical analytic insight as required for each case
  • Analyze past baseball data to find anomalies or trends over games in order to reprocess and redeliver game data
  • Provide detailed data quality reports to account management, engineering, support, and other internal organizations when needed
  • Establish ownership of the case and the customer relationship by providing accurate solutions and prompt communication.
  • Follow standard operating procedures for efficient escalation of unresolved cases.
  • Effectively provide the appropriate solutions and support for presales situations.
  • Document knowledge-based tech notes and articles

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of data analysis experience
  • Database and visualization software experience (SQL, PowerBI, R, Tableau, and others)
  • Strong understanding of baseball and the metrics commonly used by teams and players
  • Customer-oriented communication skills
  • Ability to communicate and explain technical data to both internal leadership and customers
